ARES
Non-explosive pin-puller
Key capabilities
Optimized performance
A balanced combination of mass, size, pin travel, and shear-load capability for medium-duty release applications.
Non-explosive actuation
Designed around a non-explosive release approach for controlled, low shock operation.
Built for demanding environments
Built for operations in temperatures from −150°C to +150°C and combined with shear pin load of 1kN.
Fast, synchronizable release
Releases in under 50 ms, supporting predictable timing for mission-critical deployment sequences of multiple units..
ARES is a medium to heavy duty non-explosive pin puller release actuator. Based on the proven non-explosive technology it offers reliability through simplicity. Mass, pin travel and shear load ratios were optimized to obtain small yet powerful actuator for missions that prefer margins over hopes.
ARES can be used in systems with multiple release actuators thanks to the very low release time and precise synchronization. Initiation Control Unit (ICU) can be used to control up to 5 ARES pin pullers at the same time. Pin puller is rapidly field resettable by the replacement of redundant initiators.
