ATLAS ORBITAL 22kN
Non explosive release nut
Key features
Up to 22 kN release preload
Designed for controlled separation events with up to 22 kN axial preload.
Fast, synchronizable release
Releases in under 50 ms, supporting predictable timing for mission-critical deployment sequences of multiple HDRMs.
Built for demanding environments
Designed for operation from −150°C to +150°C and for mechanical loading of 25 G sine or 35 Grms random vibration.
Field-resettable architecture
Our products are designed to be fully user operable. The initiator can be exchanged in the field, helping teams return hardware to test readiness rapidly.
Get faster in the new space race. ATLAS ORBITAL combines the reliable, affordable and fast initiation with environmental robustness and ease of use.
ATLAS is especially efficient in the development of reusable multi actuator mechanisms with precise synchronization. The actuators are rapidly resettable by replacing the cartridge with redundant initiators and are reusable. The flight units are qualified to be used 10 times. The ground units are optimized for long test campaigns with hundreds of releases.
